The Wimbledon tournament has been canceled, in 2020 it will not be played

The 134th edition of the Wimbledon tournament, the oldest tennis competition in the world and the third Grand Slam tournament in chronological order has been canceled for public health reasons related to the spread of coronavirus in Great Britain. It would have been disputed from Monday 29 June to Sunday 12 July but for weeks there was talk of a probable cancellation. The English organization has made it known that the 134th edition will be postponed for a year: it will be held from 28 June to 11 July 2021.

Last month, the Roland Garros in Paris, the second Grand Slam tournament, had been postponed until September. All the ATP and WTA tournaments scheduled until May had also been postponed, including the Internazionali di Roma. The male and female world rankings were consequently "frozen" until the resumption of activities.
