returns to the field, the 2018-2019 season opens on Saturday in Verona with
Chievo-Juve: great anticipation for the first of CR7 in the championship. At
home Chievo lost his last six Serie A games in which he hosted Juventus,
earning at least two goals in five of them.
Since his arrival at Real Madrid in the summer of 2009, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a total of
six goals at the season debut in the league, of which only two over the last
six seasons (one in 2014/15 and one in 2016/17).
This is the fourth time Chievo
and Juventus have crossed the first
day of the championship: the bianconeri have won, always for 1-0, the previous
three, the last of which at the Bentegodi in August 2014.
Chievo found success on the first day in
all the last three Serie A
championships played against Empoli, Inter and Udinese respectively. Juventus
have found success in five of the last six games played in the first league
(1P), without conceding a goal in four of these.
