The first leg of the Europa
League round of 16 matches between Ludogorets
and Milan will be played tonight
starting at 7 pm at Ludogorets Arena in Razgrad, Bulgaria.
Match Schedule:
Milan vs. Ludogorets
Europa League
Date: 22 February 2018;
Time: 7 pm
Venue: Stadio Giuseppe Meazza
On paper it may seem like an easy game for Milan, but in its recent success story
the Ludogorets has never disfigured
in European cups, where indeed it has obtained several important results. Being
able to count on a very solid economic base, in 2012 the Ludogorets won the
first national title of its history at its first appearance in the Bulgarian
top flight.
Since then he has won six consecutive national titles, a
record made possible by the large investments made in the team, which over the
years has strengthened by buying the best Bulgarian
players and numerous Brazilian second-tier players. In his European
experiences, he obtained positive results against well-equipped teams like
Lazio, PSV Eindhoven and Basel, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain. Milan is in
Bulgaria in its best season, but victory is not obvious at all.
For the Ludogorets
tonight's match against AC Milan
will be the first official match since last December, given that the Bulgarian championship makes a long
winter break every year. This means that his players will probably not be at
their best. Gennaro Gattuso's Milan, on the other hand, has not lost for two
months and eight games.
